She has a bachelor’s degree in Meteorology/Climatology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a PhD in Atmospheric Science from the University of Houston. Since 2016, Laura has worked at NASA Langley Research Center focusing her research on airborne remote sensing measurements of pollutants during collaborative research campaigns relevant for geostationary air quality observations (e.g., TEMPO). Part of her time is also dedicated to her role as an associate program manager for the NASA Applied Sciences Health and Air Quality Program where she tracks and manages a portfolio of projects focused on the implementation of air quality standards, policy, and regulations for economic and human welfare.
